Our Story
Twins Hunter and Hayden England, born and raised in Woodlawn, Illinois, went all in on their first business venture, HardHeaded, back in 2020 as high school seniors. What started as a class project through their local CEO program quickly became an obsession — a brand dedicated to fitness, personal growth, and mindset.
HardHeaded became an online one-stop shop for anyone chasing a better version of themselves. The twins offered customized training, nutrition guidance, and workouts through their own app, along with a mindset program designed to take people from lost and purposeless to aligned and productive. Their streetwear and gym clothing reflected the same message — blending bold design with spiritual and psychological lessons learned through their own journey.
After three years of building HardHeaded, Hunter and Hayden closed that chapter in December 2023 and shifted their energy toward something closer to home — quite literally.
In early 2024, they launched Twisted Twins, an ice cream and burger joint built with the same spirit of purpose, creativity, and hard work. Fueled by an off-beat sense of humor and a vision to bring people together, they set out to create a place that felt like the heart of the community — where families, friends, and strangers could laugh, eat, and make memories.
The journey was far from easy. Days were spent on construction sites, hammer in hand, and nights were filled with planning, hiring, and ordering equipment. But every hour invested brought them closer to something real — a dream they could share with their hometown.
“Some of our fondest memories growing up were at local shops, spending time with our family and friends. We wanted to recreate that feeling — a place where everyone feels welcome, no matter who they are.”
- Hunter England | founder
Today, Twisted Twins stands as more than a restaurant. It’s a reflection of grit, community, and the belief that chasing your dreams can be both hardheaded and twisted — and still turn out sweet in the end.
